Ann Taylor: Defining Modern American Femininity

I was part of the senior creative team at Ann Taylor during a pivotal era of brand reinvention, a time when we set out to modernize the brand while returning to the essence of what made it iconic. My role centered on concept development, print/pattern and color direction, seasonal storytelling, that brought renewed emotional resonance to a beloved American brand.
A signature achievement was the launch of Ann Taylor’s first national image campaign, I Am Ann, which celebrated the strength, style, and individuality of women. Shot by the legendary Annie Leibovitz and featuring top super models and real women alike, the campaign elevated the brand’s presence and shifted public perception, from classic workwear to an empowering lifestyle brand.
I also played a creative role in shaping the brand’s 50th anniversary celebration, a milestone moment that honored Ann Taylor’s legacy while showcasing its modern evolution. Through visual storytelling and refined seasonal collections, we highlighted the enduring relevance of the brand for a new generation.
My work helped strengthen the emotional connection between Ann Taylor and its customer, balancing sophistication and approachability, and reinforcing the brand’s position as a trusted source of confidence, polish, and timeless American style.
