Ralph Lauren Children’s – Fall / Back to School
Designing for Ralph Lauren Children’s means creating more than just clothes, it’s about evoking a world of tradition, imagination, and childhood spirit. For Fall, that vision comes to life through the nostalgic ritual of back to school, a season marked by crisp air, sharpened pencils, school pride, and the timeless elegance of prep school traditions.
This collection celebrates classic American prep through the lens of youthful adventure. I drew inspiration from vintage varsity uniforms, letterman jackets, striped rugby knits, and tartan plaids, layered with charm and comfort for kids’ everyday wear. Deep autumnal tones, heritage school crests, chenille patches, and sport motifs were paired with playful silhouettes, evoking a mix of Ivy League tradition and playground joy.
Throughout the line, we wove in storytelling elements that made each piece feel personal, whether it was a mix of intarsia sweaters and heritage knits, or prints featuring mascots, trophies, pennants, and uniforms that feel like they belong in a yearbook from decades past. We even tapped into varsity nostalgia with the Ralph Lauren Bear, always dressed for the season, always adding warmth and whimsy.
The result is a collection that feels both rooted and imaginative. A love letter to scholastic pride, youthful energy, and fall’s timeless charm, built to grow with the next generation.
