Ralph Lauren x Hoffman Fabrics – A Tribute to Heritage, Surf, and Storytelling

This unique collaboration between Ralph Lauren and Hoffman Fabrics celebrates the enduring spirit of American surf culture and the artistry of vintage textile design. I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Laguna Beach and work directly with the Hoffman team, a trailblazing force that helped launch the surf apparel industry and an iconic name in Hawaiian and coastal-inspired textiles, with roots stretching back generations.

With exclusive access to Hoffman’s extensive archive of original 1940s Hawaiian and Japanese artwork, I designed a series of custom prints that honor the rich legacy of California’s surf scene and its deep cultural ties to the islands. The collection bridges Hoffman’s authentic West Coast history with the timeless sensibility of Ralph Lauren, resulting in a striking capsule of shirts, sneakers, accessories, and even a custom-designed surfboard.

This project was about more than pattern, it was about storytelling through craftsmanship, nostalgia, and a shared commitment to heritage and style.
